Sydney AirportSydney Airport, which is officially called Kingsford Smith International Airport, is the city’s major international airport, and is located on the shores of Botany Bay on the southern edges of the city. It is around 10 miles from the city centre, and is served by many international airlines.

Major airlines that operate from the airport include Air China, Emirates, Qantas, Thai Airways, British Airways and Air Canada. These airlines, amongst the others that operate from Sydney Airport fly to destinations all over the world, including domestic destinations.

From Sydney Airport, there are many destinations and routes operated daily. Destinations in Asia include Bangkok, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. There are also routes to Europe (London and Paris), North America (Toronto, Los Angeles and New York), South America (Buenos Aires) as well as in Australia’s continent (Auckland, Canberra and Adelaide). There are no flights to or from Africa.

There are three terminals for passengers at Sydney Airport, with Terminal 1 being the largest. Terminal 1 deals with all international flights, while the smaller Terminals 2 and 3 deal with all domestic flights and flights within the continent, including to New Zealand and nearby islands.

The airport is full of facilities and services for the use of its passengers, and each terminal has its own facilities for the passengers’ convenience. These services and amenities include restaurants and cafés, baby change, currency exchange, ATMs, internet, shops, including duty-free and gift shops, and transport options, including taxis, car rental and buses.
